Definitions

In these Terms of Use:

  • “CORENˮ means the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
  • “PPDCˮ or “Platformˮ means the Professional Practice and Development Centre and associated applications, including the PPDC for Customers App.
  • “Userˮ means any person or entity accessing or using the Platform.
  • “Servicesˮ refers to all digital registration, certification, compliance, verification, and support services provided via the Platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and any related policies published by COREN. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

Eligibility

The Platform is intended for registered engineering practitioners, institutions, and authorised stakeholders. You represent and warrant that you are eligible to use the Platform under Nigerian law and COREN regulations.

Account Registration and Security

  • Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and promptly update any changes.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted under your account.
  • You must notify COREN immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

User Conduct

Users must not:

  • Misrepresent identity or professional credentials;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platformʼs operation;
  • Attempt unauthorised access to other usersʼ accounts;
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual Property

  • The Platform is provided on an “as isˮ and “as availableˮ basis.
  • COREN does not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, COREN is not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from the use or inability to use the Platform, including indirect or consequential losses.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold COREN harmless from any claims, losses, or

damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Nigerian law. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

Amendments

COREN may revise these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
